These terms apply when you book a seat at a supper through Weave. Please read them before you pay — by completing a booking you agree to them.
Weave is a trading name of Weave Suppers Ltd. Weave provides the booking and payment technology; each supper is planned, prepared, and hosted by an independent host (the club) in their own home. Your booking is for the host’s event. Weave is not the caterer and does not prepare the food.
Bookings are non-refundable. Suppers are intimate events with only a handful of seats: the host plans, shops, and prepares for exact numbers, and a seat released late usually cannot be resold the way a restaurant table can. For that reason, cancelling a booking does not entitle you to a refund. If your plans change, please contact the host as soon as possible using the details in your confirmation email — they will always do their best (for example offering your seat to a waitlisted guest, or moving you to a future date), but this is goodwill, not a right.
Supper events are provided on a specific date. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day cooling-off right that normally applies to online purchases does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date (reg. 28(1)(h)) — so refunds are governed by the policy above rather than by that right.
If a host cancels or materially changes an event (for example the date), we will let you know and you will be offered a full refund.
Suppers are prepared in a home kitchen where allergens may be present. Please tell the host of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance using the contact details in your confirmation email. You are responsible for disclosing anything that affects your safety.
Suppers are intimate gatherings in someone’s home. Please arrive on time, treat the host, their home, and other guests with respect, and follow any reasonable house requests.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, Weave’s responsibility is limited to the booking technology and payment handling; the host is responsible for the event itself.
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales.
