Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Weave collects when you use our supper-club booking pages, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to guests who book, people who follow a club for updates, and creators who get in touch.

Who we are

Weave is a booking tool for independent, women-led home supper clubs. Weave is a trading name of Weave Suppers Ltd(“we”, “us”), registered in England & Wales (no. 00000000), registered address London, United Kingdom. Each supper is run by an independent host (the club). When you book, we share the details needed to host you with that club, who is a separate controller for how they use your information to run their event.

What we collect and why

When you reserve a seat, we collect:

• Your name and email — to create and confirm your booking and send you the confirmation, the venue address, and a reminder before the event.
• Payment information — your card payment is processed directly by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we retain a payment reference and the amount paid.
• Optional planning details — after booking you may choose to tell the host the area of London you travel from, your age range, and your gender. These are entirely optional, are used only to help the host plan the evening, and can be left blank.
• Marketing consent — whether you agreed to receive marketing from the club or Weave.

If you follow a club for updates, we collect your email and your consent to be contacted.

If you contact us as a content creator, we collect your email and any Instagram or TikTok handle you choose to share.

We also collect basic, privacy-friendly usage analytics through Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build an advertising profile.

Legal bases

• Performance of a contract — to take your booking, process payment, and send you the transactional confirmation and reminder for your event.
• Consent — to send you marketing or new-date updates where you have opted in, and to collect the optional planning details. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to run and secure the service and understand aggregate usage, balanced against your rights.

Who we share it with

• The host / club you booked with, so they can host you.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — sending your confirmation, reminder, and (if opted in) update emails.
• Supabase and Vercel — secure database hosting and website hosting/analytics.

We never sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations — typically six years, in line with UK tax requirements. Follower and creator details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies (including those Stripe sets to process payments securely). Our analytics are cookieless. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To unsubscribe from update emails, use the link in any such email. To exercise any other right, contact hello@weavesuppers.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
